Abstract
This editor’s note introduces No ka Pono o ka Māhūi, a landmark special issue centering queer(ed) Kānaka through scholarship, creative work, and memoir. It frames the collection as both a puʻuhonua and a call to reimagine Hawaiian well-being, pilina, and liberation beyond colonial and cisheteronormative frameworks.
